Bio
Lahoma Schultz
"It is with humility and gratitude that I accept the request from my fellow citizens to run for the MCN National Council representing the Tvlse District. My life's journey has been shaped by the love and support of my family, my roots in our communities, and a commitment of service to others."

Professional Career
My professional path has included teaching at the high school, middle school, and university levels, and I have had the honor of training future teachers, counselors, and psychologists. My dedication to service includes 11 years as a social worker, 9 years as a counselor, and 14 years as a psychologist. My work as a behavioral health clinician/director at a VA, 638, and an Indian Health Service clinic deepened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities within our intergovernmental system.
Family

I share my life with my spouse, Bobby Schultz. Our home is in Bixby, OK. We have a son, a daughter, and three grandsons. As the third of seven children, I was raised in OKC by George Hicks of Salem, OK, and Mollie (Jones) Hicks of Lamar, OK.

Service
I have served on state and national committees and work groups advocating & legislating (VA, APA, OPA). I currently work on the University of Oklahoma's PRIME Project, recruiting/developing mental health workers for our rural schools.
My candidacy for Council is driven by a steadfast belief in the power of collective action, the value of every individual's voice, and the transformative impact of service. With your support, I hope to continue working for the well-being, progress, and unity of our district and our Nation.
